Campfire eclairs
Campfire éclairs are a super fun camping dessert twist! 🔥🥖🍫 Basically, you use roasting sticks, crescent roll dough, and classic s’mores ingredients to make them. Here’s how:
Ingredients:
- Crescent roll dough (or biscuit dough)
- Vanilla pudding or whipped cream
- Chocolate frosting, Nutella, or melted chocolate
- Marshmallows (optional, for extra gooeyness)
Instructions:
- Wrap crescent roll dough around the end of a thick, clean roasting stick (like you’d do for campfire bread). Seal the edges so it stays closed.
- Hold over the fire and rotate until golden brown and baked through (about 8–10 minutes). The dough should slide off the stick like a hollow tube.
- Let cool slightly, then fill the inside with vanilla pudding or whipped cream (you can use a zip-top bag with a corner cut off to pipe it in).
- Spread chocolate frosting, Nutella, or melted chocolate over the top.
- Optional: Add marshmallows, sprinkles, or crushed graham crackers for s’mores-style campfire éclairs.
👉 The result: warm, gooey, handheld éclairs by the fire—no oven needed! Try this delicious campfire treat the next time you stay at Terre Haute Campground!
